Thermoforming Certification Pursuit

Grand Rapids, MI – “We will be pursuing AIB certification.” With that phrase, Display Pack’s Quality Manager Mike Tappy announced the company’s plans. According to him the company plans to be AIB food-grade certified by the end of 2012. “Clear-Lam, the supplier of our food-contact raw materials and who also thermoforms plastics into similar product as us, is certified by AIB International (American Institute of Baking),” added Tappy. “It makes sense for us to pursue this certification as well. In addition,” he continued, “the container industry expects a three percent growth in the food packaging market this year alone, which means Display Pack must be ready.”
